Central States Water Resources (CSWR) and its affiliates and related entities (collectively, “CSWR”, “we”, “us, “our”) are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our customers’ personal information. We DO NOT SELL or SHARE your Personal Information.

Such Personal Information includes geolocation information, financial account information and Social Security numbers. We only collect this information and use it to provide you with services described herein or otherwise related to our business transactions do not sell or share Sensitive Personal Information.

Text Messages (SMS): By providing your mobile device number for Service Interruption and Advisory purposes, you authorize and consent to being contacted by us via text message to the mobile number you provided. Your carrier’s data rates may apply. If you wish to “Opt Out” of text messaging, please call our Customer Service.

c. Telephone Communications: We use the phone number(s) you provide to communicate with you about your services and related programs and services provided by us. We do not engage in telemarketing, and any communication with you via telephone is conducted in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable state laws. d. Social Media Websites: You may choose to follow us on social media, as we do use the following platforms: Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter) and in the case of Louisiana, also Next Door, to provide educational content and general information about our services in addition to Service Interruptions and Boil Water Advisories. We do not utilize these social media platforms to transact with customers; customers with questions or concerns must call our Customer Service.

e. Third Party Links: While visiting or using our Site, you may encounter and choose to access other websites, mobile applications or other online services that are not operated by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

5. Cookies

a. Cookie Usage: We may use cookies to enhance your experience on our Site. Cookies are small files that a site or its service providers transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enable the site’s or service providers’ systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

b. Cookie Options: You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some features of our Site may be disabled, but it should not affect the overall user experience.
