In the new role, Thies oversees accounting and financial reporting, regulatory financial reporting, audit, taxes (income, property and sales) and rate case filings in the nine states in which CSWR presently serves customers.

“Brent is an exceptionally talented member of our team who continues to grow and elevate himself within the company,” said CSWR Chief Financial Officer Marty Moore. “As our scale has accelerated dramatically over the past three years, so has the complexity of our financial reporting. Brent’s leadership has been paramount to that effort and we are thrilled to see him assume even more responsibility.”

Thies, a certified public accountant, joined CSWR in 2017 as a senior accountant after working in public accounting and serving in multiple finance roles in various companies. Prior to his entry into the finance world, he worked in ministry for a decade. He has significant experience in rapidly growing organizations, building cohesive teams that have supported and catalyzed that growth.
