“Chelsie’s leadership utility experience has been essential as we’ve grown so quickly and had to manage thousands of new customer relationships,” said Josiah Cox, President and Founder of CSWR. “She is helping us fulfill our promise to provide safe, clean and reliable water and wastewater utility services to the communities we serve.”
Over the past six months, Carter’s focus has been on improving customer experience in the areas of self-service, software systems and processes. She previously led the accounts receivable division at the St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District, where she also served as the point of contact for dozens of major accounts. Carter spent also 16 years with American Water, starting as the supervisor for the customer call center and working her way up to business services specialist.
“I’m honored that my contributions have been an important part of our success,” said Carter. “Our customers deserve outstanding service and communication about what’s happening with their water and wastewater. I hope we can continue to improve upon how we do that by refining our processes, focusing on quality, and increasing consumer education opportunities.”
Carter received her Masters of Business Administration in 2011 from Lindenwood University. She is an alumna of McCluer North High School in Florissant, Missouri.
